Wow what beautiful weather we had for our first Easter camp. An early Easter with daffodils blooming and children and ponies in great form with no rain in sight.
We had five super children with Leah Molly
being the youngest and bravest of our Easter egg hunters.
Martin hid the eggs everywhere, even in the
greediest horses' stables but Moya, Leah, Thomas, Tiarnan and Louis were not
put off. Every egg was found and happily eaten☺
This was Tiarnan's first camp and his
pony for the week was Annie. Along with Thomas who had the ever young Hymesh
and Louis with the handsome Neptune, they played and worked hard together.
This week our newest horse Beauty was
allowed to go on loan to Moya and everybody was so proud of her when she jumped
her first jump on him. Well done Moya.
Thursday must have been the best day.
Martin set up an obstacle relay course which involved the horse doing the same
course as it's relay partner, who did it on foot. We laughed that much that
some of us weren't fit to eat our lunch.
During the week Holly Mcguire and her
pretty pony Willow joined the rest of the children on their ride through
Carlingford bathed in spring sunshine.
Back to business. Two of the horses,
Indie and Henry fell out with each other. Henry lost his shoes and was unable
to go to his training session with Cairlinn and her trainer Dale Roberts.
Cairlinn was not amused!!
Praise must also go to one of the grown
ups. Jenny McCann who was able to ride her horse Biddy for the first time after
her injury. A full recovery from Biddy and smiles on everybodies faces☺
